Farmers & Merchants Bank, a leading regional bank renowned for its commitment to personalized financial solutions, has appointed Dan Hosman of Swift Ditch Farms Partnership in Northeast Arkansas to its board of directors.
Hosman, of Jonesboro, leads the large rice and soybean operation with his brother Don and father Melvin (Buddy) Hosman. The family owns precision leveled and recreational farmland in Poinsett and Cross counties.

Hosman has served his community and the state in multiple roles including Arkansas Rice Council past chairman, Arkansas Rice Farmers board member, Craighead County Farm Bureau board member and past chairman, Arkansas Rural Development Commission member, USA Rice Farmers board member, Rick Crawford Farm Advisory Committee member and Arkansas Department of Agriculture board member. Hosman has also received many distinguished honors including the 2015 Stanley E. Reed Leadership Award and the 2004 Young Farmers and Ranchers Discussion Meet. He was also a 2012 Arkansas Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award finalist and a 2013 American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award runner-up.
Hosman resides in Jonesboro with his wife Mikki and their four sons Cade, Rhett, Hudson and Wyn.
